Analysis of a Hybrid Wind/Photovoltaic Energy System Controlled by Brain Emotional Learning-Based Intelligent Controller

Recently, hybrid wind/PV microgrids have gained great attention all over the world. It has merits of being environmentally friendly, reliable, sustainable, and efficient compared to its counterparts. Though there been development in this issue, control energy management these systems still face challenges. The source those challenges is intermittent nature both wind PV energy. On other hand, a new intelligent technique called Brain Emotional Learning-Based Intelligent Controller (BELBIC) garnered more interest. This paper proposes using BELBIC controller. To design system, simple power analyses were proposed. proposed microgrid was modeled simulated MATLAB. responses system tested under two different types disturbances, namely step ramp disturbances. These disturbances are applied speed, irradiation level PV, load power. results indicate that AC voltage frequency steady with negligible transients against previous disturbance. In addition, performance better than classical PI Also, acts perfectly compensate for intermittence energies. robustness model parameters uncertainties studied.
